This Bluetit landed in a pool of sunlight that the cameraman couldn't resist!

Give a bird a bit of rough rendering and the more agile will happily walk straight up a vertical wall.

The Bluetits feeding the youngsters in the nest over the utility room are getting ever more frantic delivering food. Here you can unusually make out the whole of the next meal still distressingly thrashing about.

Togetherness Bluetit style - courtship feeding of the female (left) by the male. This is part of the pair-bond formation and which insects he brings helps the female 'decide' when to make eggs.

A closer and lightened look shows the males beak inside the females.

The ever gaping maw of the Bluetit chick in the background, demanding that tiny grub.

Although conditions were not ideal we were surprised to catch this moment when the two parents arrived together both with beaks full of food for the chicks. The bird starting on the left was dropping down and initially moving backward while the other whizzed in from the right. The one initially on the right veered off to avoid a collision. These successive frames taken at about 7 fps.

The parents were arriving so often they had to queue up a few times. Here one leaves over the head of the other waiting to go in.

And here a bird exiting, pausing for a moment on the TV aerial lead when he realised we have appeared while he was inside.

Photographed through the living room window, a bluetit feasted on seeds from a broken weed stem in the hedge. Look carefully at the beak and you will see the seed itself attached to the hairs that would have let it be blown away in the wind if the bird hadn't got it first

The Bluetits are now stripping buds from the Ash trees. In this montage the bird can just get the bud in it's beak, but a moment later has dropped it (and it let it go).

Part of the household duties of Bluetit nests is being lavatory attendant to their heap of steaming chicks. Actually the 'Fecal Sacs' are fairly clean until they drop them and they burst!

This Bluetit spent several minutes searching the lichen crusted bark of this old Black Poplar. This first image is exactly what we saw - who cares about gravity!

There is a hole in the flashing behind this downpipe, and Bluetits are making a nest in it!

Three unexpected bird feasts
Can a Bluetit really manage raw root veg?

We notice that many of the Bluetits have well developed brood patches already.
Brood patch? A strip of thinly insulated skin on the breast which is pressed against eggs, and later chicks, to keep them warm.

This bluetit looks really tatty because of a strong wind blowing up the head feathers from behind. He has an insect for the chicks. We have LOTS of tit nest boxes and can't say where this one went.
