Here are the three species of Tits we normally see, as named in the title.
That feeder needs refilling ...

A pair of long tailed tits have appeared and seem to be nesting.

Long-tail Tits seem to be favourites. Here is one perched on the tip of a hedge branch.

Long-tailed tits occasionally visit the peanut feeder - this one stopped for a few seconds on the end of the perch in hazy sunshine.

Suddenly we have a flock of about 8 long tailed tits visiting our North hedge.

This long tailed tit has been given an exotic colour by the setting sun. The sky behind it was clear so it appears the 'normal' blue.

Look at me!
The bird spent several seconds hanging by one claw for reasons we can only imagine. The smearing on the glass is where the ivy rubs on the glass only cleaned the day before. We didn't want to cut away such a good photo opportunity!
When included as part of our 'Weekly Assortment' a correspondent suggested that the bird is collecting spider web it uses to build the nest.

Here we see that there is a sort of 'hood' arrangement over the eye.

The spread wings against the sky seem to us an absolute delight ...

Another brief visit by a few Long-tailed Tits.
Here is a montage of two frames of one leaving the tip of a Horse Chestnut tree.

Here one Long-tailed Tit makes a delayed departure on the arrival of humans, for which the cameraman caught these two moments about 140mS apart. Wildlife programs are forever telling us how herds of animals confuse predators who need to concentrate on one individual, and it seem that flock of birds in flight has a similar effect on the 'Photographer' species.

Long-tailed Tits usually seem to have some bit of tree or bush between themselves and the annoying humans, so we were lucky to get this moment of moderately uncluttered bird flying straight at the camera, with tail fanned behind, from the glorious blossom.

Here he is launching himself at the window to flap against it for a few seconds, back to a perch, rest a few seconds, and off he goes again. He does this whether we draw the curtains, put things in the window or whatever.

Unusual pose of a Long-tailed Tit with it's tail pushed out of position by the twigs and feathers fluffed out. Sweet little face.

A pair of Long-tailed Tits have arrived to breed again this year (we hope). We have only spotted one pair for the moment but they are so quick at everything they do there is a good chance we have missed others.

Several juvenile Long-tailed Tits were exploring a group of trees for food. These nervous birds always seem to manage to get some bit of foliage between them and the camera!

In most years we see a family group of Long-tailed Tit flitting high in the trees, and whether being obviously watched or not, soon move on. For a couple of minutes we were treated to initially 4 juveniles only a few metres away. This is the first 'grab-the-moment' shot.

Two of the juvenile Long-tailed Tits moved out of sight to an adjacent tree, but these two stayed long enough to get this little portrait of one of them.
