Many trees have matured enough to start producing seed in the last couple of years, and the seed eaters are becoming regular visitors.

In just a few years Marsh tits have moved from seeing occasional individual to regulars - and in this case 2 at once in the same frame.

Lurking in a sunny spot on the south wall of the house and out of the bitter wind, a Marsh Tit casts it's shadow on the wall.

Here a starling collected loads of the remaining feathers over the long-tailed tit nest over which we think a Sparrowhawk made or at least plucked a kill. The size & quantity of the feathers seemed too much to be a Long-tailed tit and suspect the pigeon population was reduced by 1.
