A Robin and what we think must be a Lesser Whitethroat having a mid-air skirmish.

A nice little montage of visitors to the hedge bottom over 20 minutes. The Tree Sparrow (2nd from left) has a leg ring off which we could read a couple of digits - if we find out more we will add it here.

Its the time of territorial disputes and these face-to-face fights are typical. Note the vicious claws of the robin on the right going for the chaffinch.

Looks like the robin initiated this little encounter.

The Robin's head is uncannily sharp on the original, so here is a 'zoom in'

The chaffinches are still feeling very territorial, here chasing robin from the tree-stump top

A much better view of the agro from the chaffinch

The Chaffinch and Robin seem to share about the same level of aggression and are often seen squabbling over access to the feeding sites.

The Robin and Dunnock appear not to like one another's company. Rather out-of-focus behind the log but a genuine single frame.

Size doesn't really count when it comes to aggression
Here a Dunnock and Robin having a set-to at the edge of the frame while. presumably, the Dunnock's mate watches,

Still pretty dark, but its seems it is never too early for a dunnock and robin to have a squabble.

In the left corner the Dunnock, in the right corner the Robin. These are normally only brief skirmishes

Several shots in a row show a battle between a Dunnock and a Robin. Here the dunnock is diving on an apparently nonchalant Robin.

A robin inspecting a hole in the log for insects or spilled grain. Remember they don't have binocular vision but get the best view to the side.

After years of seeing Robins always chasing away any mice, suddenly this robin just ignores the mice in several frames.

The Robin may be chasing off the Fieldmouse, or they may both have startled by something to the right.

Looks like a little territorial disagreement in progress.

An unusual view in the snow of an otherwise fairly typical aerial skirmish between a great tit and robin.

A fairly typical encounter at the camera sites, this time between a robin and a great tit. Note the capricious floating seed in front of the robin's beak.
