A perky Robin.
Here you see clearly how thin the legs are compared to their rotund little bodies.

As we brushed by a hedge this drenched robin fledgling hopped
out and crouched not knowing what to do next. We moved away
and a parent came down to guide it to safety.

We adore our foxes, but really think this one arriving at the site in the rain
shows a real sense of menace. The wise prompt exit by the Robin undoubtedly
triggers the photo of this fox which is some 3 metres behind the camera's
infra-red trigger beam and focus line.

An adult Robin banks across the photo site with some tiny morsel in the tip of
the beak. What a mess a season of breeding makes of the once pristine feathers.

Greenfinches generally win territorial disputes against robins,
but being airborne gives the robin some advantage. Just about
even then - both birds decide the other one should be ignored
(for now).

A Robin in a hurry with youngsters to feed a worm that looks rather large for a
comparatively small bird. No doubt to be reduced to 'swallow' sized pieces.

Robins appear wherever we go.
We like the Joie-de-vie with which this one is carrying
off a single corn grain - something to emulate for the new year.

Snow and continuous below freezing temperatures create unusual
behavior & photographs. Here a Robin homing in on the feeder
despite, or perhaps because of, the awful conditions.

An unusually clear image of a Robin flying to the peanut feeder.
Robins are not very good at hanging feeders, but manage just fine
at the big one sitting on the flat table just to the right of the frame.

be ready) to defend it's position.
