5 images of this Tawny Owl taken at 1 minutes interval might suggest that the
Owl spent 5 minutes turning their head.
We are sure that this genuine naturally sequenced set is just a chance set of samples.

Do you like our Owl? (Quote from the movie 'Blade
Runner')
But there is nothing 'artificial' about ours!
As far as we can see this was an unbroken stay of 54 minutes.

Tawny Owl visits the Kitchen window perch for a spectacular landing and few
minutes stay during which the bird seems to stare continuously at the camera
(or perhaps it's reflection in the window).
The tips of the wing on our left were out of the original frame.

The first Tawny Owl visit this week spent a few minutes on the post,
had a little preen of his right foot, and next image was gone.

What looks like the 'local' Tawny Owl arrives for a few minutes hunt.
This bird always seems to fly 'up' to the perch.

This Tawny Owl made a landing at the kitchen window and stayed for about 7
minutes. The landing on the right was triggered by the bird's arrival, but it
blocked the beam break so the middle and left images had to be manually triggered.

This 7 minute visit by the Tawny Owl was a very active affair as you can see
from this selection of positions. But as usual the feet don't move!

After a couple of weeks of absence the Tawny owl visited for 7 minutes before
diving down to the short grass on the right side of the post.
Photographing a bird leaving like this is just luck - beam breaks react much
more slowly to the beam returning than being broken - here the next timed
picture just happened to occur at the right moment.

The increase in rodent numbers makes it worthwhile again for Owls to
hunt over the patch.
Two and a half hours after the Barn Owl stops by, the Tawny Owl stops by for 7 minutes.

landing on the Meadow post 7 times. Here are 6 of the landings

In this landing (the fourth) the Tawny Owl has caught some prey and brought it
back to the post to eat. From the size of lack of feathers we think this is/was a Shrew,

Two days later we see another Owl visiting the same Pollarded Willow, this time
a Tawny Owl seen at the Meadow Post a few minutes earlier.
We have to assume that its is the same individual.
Scale from the 2 very different cameras is here not controlled.

This Tawny Owl stayed for about 8 minutes. Standing at the left edge with the
sense IR beam grazing it's breast, it only fired the camera a few times. The
middle image shows the relaxed bird having a little preen, before getting down
to the serious business of hunting. No images of the Owl at the ground level
photo site it is facing, unfortunately.

This Tawny Owl makes a welcome visit to the meadow post, staying
for about 8 minutes. Past experience suggests that this was just one
of many stops on the numerous other hunting perches around the site.
