A Fox enters the site in Mid-morning, and has a quick look around before setting off on the hunt.

A Fox (possibly always the same one) enters the site at this south hedge gap on most nights.

A temporary camera placed near the SW corner of our patch catches this lovely fox just about to tackle the perhaps 20cm deep water in the ditch.

One of the Red Foxes that visit takes a look about before setting off on the nights hunt.

Most creatures enter at the south straight down into the ditch. For some reason this Fox slinks behind the tree to cross the ditch a few metres to the right.

Foxes following an adult suggests that this is the 'new' fox family. Mum or Dad has entered through the hedge gap showing 3 pairs of glowing eyes. After crossing the ditch the adult stopped along with one of the cubs, while another Cub goes dashing off to the right.

At about the same time next evening this pristine Fox gives a baleful glare as he visits one of the 'known good places' for a feed.

This Fox stopped for a look at bird strike Wood Pigeon, but rather surprisingly didn't even try to drag it away. We think this a youngster, and it didn't know what to do?

In the dark of the night what looks like the same Fox twice walks down into the partially filled Round Pond, taking what may be a well trodden path down to the water.

Almost all of our detailed pics of Foxes are at night when there Irises are close to fully open. Here we catch an evening moment where the partly closed irises clearly show that the closed iris is a vertical slit.

Lots of birds lay their beak flat to 'hoover up' lose scraps on hard surfaces, but this is the first time we remember seeing a fox using the same trick.

This fox disappeared at what we know is a rabbit warren and then emerged in the long grass obviously eating something. After several minutes it's head raised enough to see the remains being chewed over. We were upwind of the fox and were surprised it tolerated us and the camera noise. We couldn't find any remains next day.

This Fox seems to be following a scent trail - although the nose is close to the ground the movement blur on the legs indicate that it is moving swiftly to the left.

This fox appears every evening to search this site, and stuff themselves with Windfall apples as you see on the left.

As the pond level rises the easier access to the island at the rear becomes a swim.
Is it now worth a cold swim to check it out?

An hour before midnight it is here truly dark and the iris has just about disappeared to let in as much light as possible to the Fox's eyes.
