Out on a morning walk we see this Fox hunting along a field margin.

This Fox is hunting at the end of the Orchard at 2 a.m.
Is the front leg raised ready to pounce?

One of the foxes, probably on his way home to the south, pauses in the Orchard to investigate some activity off frame to the right.

A Fox spends a few minutes hunting at this site where we put down a few scraps of food each day.

A Fox making a mid-afternoon visit to hunt in the orchard.

The Fox stays for about 20 minutes before exiting through a now well trodden path through the south hedge.

Out in twilight (see the half-open irises) this Fox can undoubtedly smell the alluring odour of Fieldmice (Wood Mice) - and wants one!

Probably the same fox appears almost every night at this grass patch near the Duck Pond. This hunting only lasted a couple of minutes, but here there was enough light for this selection to be in colour.

Probably the same fox appears almost every night at this grass patch near the Duck Pond. This hunting session lasted almost half an hour.

Its nearly 3 a.m. as the Wily Fox scours the ground for food for their or their offspring's next meal.

For a few hours there was a moderate fall of snow. While only a light dusting this Fox stops on our concrete access track

Lots of Foxes this week - they are most probably raising cubs and need lots of kills.

A Fox checks over the frozen ground, probably disappointed at the lack of Fieldmice (Wood Mice) and Voles who tend to stay underground when the condition are poor.

This 'long muzzled' Fox makes a pass over the Mound on the next night of the same day.
English language is very awkward when talking about different days overnight.

Just after dark we catch this Fox intensely watching this bit of ground. And not just watching - look at the two ears swivelled and forwards to catch the slightest sound from where the eyes are focussed.
