A wide view of the yellow Buddleia bush shows about 20 Small and Large White
butterflies feeding on the flowers and fluttering above the bush.
This pic really doesn't capture the delightful feeling seeing this
provides.

Have only seen a few Speckled Wood Butterflies over the years,
this one allowing this one shot before it flew off into
invisibility.

A buzzard did a few low circles about 20m high over our 'meadow'.
All the photos have the
green cast in the shadows which we assume is light coming off the grass.

This bird landed in a willow tree at the brook.
Image 1 (left): The Talon are extended to grip the branch a few centimetres away.
Image 2 (middle): The landing was accompanied by a call - this is the 'noisy Buzzard'.
Image 3 (right): Is from a changed camera position were we could see the Buzzards eye
peering between the leaves.

This buzzard was flying low over a pasture to our south, with a Rook
harassing the Buzzard enough for it to show beak and claws for a moment.

We have a little cluster of 'Large Leaf Lime' and have been photographing
the canopy over 2010 every few days. First an image from 30 Oct 2010

A weekly photograph of the canopy of a stand of 19 Large Leaf

noticeably 'turning' before the others.

usually seen in pairs like this.

Look over a hedge we saw this little domestic scene of a young
Carrion Crow begging for supper, and getting a delivery of what
looks like something we had just left for the wildlife at one of
the camera sites.

This plant is 'Cat's-ear' flowering in the crop margin. Only when we looked at
the pic on the screen did we spot the 7-spot Ladybird left and down from the
centre. The bright yellow splashes of colour against the dark is how it really looks.

While many other species in moult look a bit like feather
dusters, the chaffinches for some reason continue to look
immaculate.

An unexpectedly large proportion of landings are on these rather than the ground.
