The adult Foxes face growing pressure to find food for their ever growing and more hungry cubs. This one entering through the South hedge looks to already be in hunting mode in the middle of the afternoon.

The moons elliptical orbit brings changes in it's distance, and we hear that this cycle brought the closest (therefore largest) full moon for 13yrs. Not that we knew this when we photographed it at 3:11 p.m. - it just looked appealing hanging in the sky.

A pair of full moons Monday evening and the following morning. Full moons are always the opposite side of the sky to the sun so you don't see the sunrise or sunset. However, the cloud in the first image is lit pink by the sunset.

The moon in the second image has the same tint as the cloud in the first because of the atmospheric conditions that colour sunrises. We haven't altered the colours at all and the camera colour balance is locked to daylight.
The flattened shape is caused by atmospheric refraction near the horizon.

An imperfect montage of 2 images showing a full (double) rainbow over our plot. With the sun nearing the horizon you get almost the full semicircle.

A few hours after the Buzzards found a nearby thermal, this glider spirals up in a thermal on the sun-facing slope to our south.

The continuing process of turning the fields of the farm around us to arable has attracted an assortment of gulls to add to the local rooks and jackdaws. This one flew over us and we enjoy the texture and shape - gulls always seems to us to be flying sculptures.

Above and below
At the end of 2 successive days, views of birds while looking up and looking down.
These 2 whopping great gulls flying together were underlit by the setting sun. We never saw their backs, but our first guess was different generation Great Black-backed Gulls which we have had confirmed as 'most likely'.

Sunset over Grey Squirrel
We have a closer crops showing all the edge lit whiskers etc., but it just doesn't capture the moment.

The Grey squirrels enjoys a few final berries before the night as the setting sun lights the lovely tail.

This female Grey squirrel is enjoying a major grooming session in a sun-warmed cleft. In other shots nipples are clearly visible - her tummy is swollen enough that she is probably pregnant. Yet more of the little blighters!

Grey Squirrels seem to be like Cats - they always take over the most comfortable and warm place in the area.

A cold morning found this Grey squirrel flattening itself on the sun warmed steel of our decades old heating oil tank!

A Rabbit (background) comes out as the day ends.
The Rabbit may have had some unpleasant encounters with Grey squirrels, and keeps a safe distance from the Squirrel.

A strange cloud looms over some normal cumulus, possibly a lenticular ice cloud partly hidden by the lower formation giving this 'halo' effect.

Hares now find it easy to hide from sight in the ripening (more like already ripe after the heat-wave) wheat, but after dark seem to like coming into our patch - for a change of diet?

Not yet 'March' but the Hares are already beginning their frolics. This Hare launched into a run with the rising sun flaring the image in a way that rather reflects our memory of the moment with the dazzling sun sitting on the horizon. This montage is accurately positioned over about 1 second of run.

This is an original frame of a Sundog that lasted about 1 minute as this little patch of cloud moved through the right position. It started as an abnormally bright white cloud, moved through the static sky positions for the colour bands, and then reverted to a normal looking hazy cloud.

This Jackdaw was photographed during a glowing dawn. If you look carefully you will see two bird shadows: one almost under the bird from the flash, and the other well to the left from the sun.
