The robin nest has fledged and we THINK this is the robin parents for
that nest still collecting food for them. We haven't managed to see any of
the youngsters - mum and dad take the insect food deep into the wood piles!

This robin has landed just after the stone top was restocked with food,

This robin took off with most of one of last year blackberries.
Also seen with insects and various other items.

Looks like these robins have a family to feed. A small
caterpillar we guess is destined for a small beak. This
was one of a number of visits.

A Robin with a caterpillar in the beak. We are seeing Robins all
round the site collecting insects & grubs.

Robin standing in a heap of chilly slush.
Most birds that we see have to tolerate severe cooling of their
naked legs and claws, and have a heat exchanger at the top of the
legs to warm the cold blood coming up the legs by cooling the blood
about to go down the legs.

One gorgeous Robin with broad Brood patch looks at us hopefully from a
leafing beech branch. On the sunlit eye you can see the brown iris.
