Around dawn this Fieldmouse (Wood Mouse) seems to be surrounded by rabbits in
an arc gazing at the mouse as if in judgement. It looks quite
creepy to us even though the rabbits pose no threat to the mouse.

It's a difficult time for rabbits with their primary food source
of grass locked in by snow and ice. Here one leaves it's burrow
for a look about before going back in the warm.

This young Rabbits position seems unexpectedly familiar.
A Movie publicity still? Images from a Peter Rabbit book?

The Rabbit may be the farmer scourge, but we can't help but
admire the mobile ears independently 'focussing' on sounds from
different directions.

Hope you laugh at this is much as we did.
Nothing else animate in the original frame, so no real idea
what it's doing.
Practicing for the Rabbit Olympic High-jump, maybe?

This rabbit is probably only about a 30cm (a foot) in the
air but we have no idea why, nor remember, such airborne
antics from a Rabbit before.

Whee!
If we were this Rabbit we would be hurrying back to our nice warm Burrow,
so perhaps this is the need-for-speed.

These 2 successive frames indicate that the rabbit lifted the fir
cone from behind the log (probably awkwardly placed partly under it)
on to the top to have a good chew on it.
The images are 1 hour apart - has the mouse magically turned into a slug?

This is undoubtedly an anthropomorphic interpretation,
but can you see it any other way?

Through the Kitchen window we spot this young Rabbit on the island of
the main pond. There is enough weed and plant roots for a small
creature to 'walk' across and barely get their paws wet
